Work with me
LifeFlowTao Mastery
A nine-month practice in embodied leadership and stewardship
There are moments when another strategy is not what we need.
We may already know where we want to go. We may have built successful organisations, gathered talented people around us and developed a deep understanding of our field. And yet something doesn't move in the way we sense it could.
The same tensions keep returning. Too much depends on us. Several projects compete for attention. Relationships become strained under pressure. An idea has enormous potential but struggles to find its form. We know we should delegate, slow down or trust more, yet when things become uncertain we return to familiar ways of operating.
Sometimes the body begins telling the same story: interrupted sleep, tension, exhaustion, difficulty switching off.
These may look like separate problems.
Often, they are not.
My work is about recognising the patterns connecting them.
For more than a decade, my work as a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and my work with founders, executives, investors and changemakers have continually brought me to the same territory: the relationship between our inner state and the systems we create around us.
LifeFlowTao Mastery is a space to explore that relationship.
Not simply to understand your patterns, but to change the conditions from which you lead.
When people come to me
Most people I work with are already highly capable. They are not looking for someone to tell them how to succeed.
They come because the capacities that brought them this far are no longer sufficient for where they are going.
Perhaps you recognise some of this:
You carry too much because it feels easier than waiting for someone else to step forward. You have a clear vision but struggle to translate it into an organisation capable of holding it. Everything seems important at the same time. You find yourself pushing projects that may need a different rhythm. Your work has grown, but the way you organise yourself has not grown with it. You are building something intended to create positive change while noticing patterns of pressure, depletion or control inside the way you are building it.
Or perhaps nothing is obviously wrong.
You simply sense that another way of leading is possible.
Seeing the pattern
One of the central capacities we develop through this work is the ability to recognise patterns.
A pattern rarely announces itself as a pattern.
It may appear as a conflict with a co-founder. Then as difficulty delegating. Then as a project that keeps stalling. Then as tension in the body. Then as a calendar with no space left in it.
If we treat each expression separately, we spend enormous amounts of energy solving symptoms.
When we begin to see the pattern underneath them, something else becomes possible.
We can change our relationship to the system rather than continually managing its consequences.
This is why our sessions move between what might conventionally be kept separate: the body, leadership, relationships, money, projects, purpose, organisational dynamics and the way you use your time.
They are already influencing one another.
We simply learn to see them together.
From carrying to stewardship
Many successful people have become extraordinarily good at carrying.
They carry the vision, the difficult decisions, the emotional tension, the relationships, the fundraising, the responsibility for what happens next.
And because they can carry so much, the system gradually learns to depend upon them.
Part of our work is recognising where this is happening and beginning to move from carrying towards stewardship.
Stewardship asks different questions.
What actually needs my attention?
What can be released?
Where am I intervening because intervention is necessary, and where because I find it difficult to trust?
What capacities are trying to develop in the people around me?
Which relationships need tending?
What needs structure?
What needs time?
What has already run its course?
The goal is not to become passive.
It is to become more precise.
Yin and Yang in leadership
Traditional Chinese Medicine has profoundly shaped how I understand leadership.
A healthy living system does not remain in one mode.
There are moments for Yin: listening, receiving, sensing, integrating, allowing something to mature.
And there are moments for Yang: deciding, protecting, negotiating, focusing resources, closing the deal and bringing something into form.
Neither belongs to a particular gender.
Both are human capacities.
The work is learning to recognise what the situation actually requires rather than automatically reaching for the mode that has made us successful in the past.
Sometimes the most aligned thing you can do is wait.
Sometimes it is to stop waiting and act.
Embodied leadership is developing the sensitivity to know the difference.
How we work
LifeFlowTao Mastery unfolds over nine months because meaningful changes in the way we live and lead need time to become embodied.
We meet weekly for 75 minutes.
The sessions respond to what is actually happening in your life and work. A conversation may begin with an investment, a relationship, an organisational challenge, a physical sensation, a difficult decision or something you cannot quite name.
We work with conversation, reflection, embodiment, Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, the Five Elements, meditation and practices that help bring insight into lived experience.
The programme moves through five broad territories:
Stabilisation — creating sufficient ground, safety and clarity to see what is actually happening.
Flow — recognising where energy moves naturally and where effort is continually being used to compensate for misalignment.
Abundance — exploring your relationship with resources, receiving, money and the circulation of value.
Service — bringing your capacities into relationship with what your work is actually here to contribute.
Integration — allowing these changes to become part of how you live, relate and lead rather than something you understand only intellectually.
These are not rigid stages. Living systems rarely develop according to a neat curriculum. They provide a structure through which the deeper work can unfold.
What changes
The aim is not to become a permanently calm, perfectly aligned leader.
It is to become more capable of recognising when you have moved out of relationship with yourself, the people around you or what you are building—and to know how to return.
Over time, decisions can become clearer because fewer competing signals are operating underneath them. Responsibility can circulate more effectively because you no longer need to remain indispensable. Projects can find their appropriate rhythm. Relationships can become sources of intelligence rather than something to manage around the work.
And perhaps most importantly, you develop greater trust in your own ability to perceive.
You begin to recognise the difference between something that needs effort and something you are forcing.
Between something that needs more time and something you are avoiding.
Between intuition and fear.
Between carrying and nourishing.
Between the moment to receive and the moment to act.
This is what I mean by embodied leadership.
Begin with two months
Not everyone needs to commit immediately to nine months.
The first two months can be taken independently as Stabilising Ground.
We meet weekly for 75 minutes and begin by looking at what is happening across your life, body, relationships and work. Together, we identify the patterns creating the most friction and begin establishing the conditions from which something different can emerge.
At the end of those two months, you can decide whether the work feels complete for now or whether you want to continue through the full LifeFlowTao Mastery journey.
Why nine months?
Nine months is not simply a metaphor for birth.
It is an acknowledgement that transformation has its own timing.
A pattern we have repeated for twenty years rarely disappears because we understood it in a conversation. We notice it, interrupt it, experiment with another response, fall back into it, recognise it sooner, and gradually establish another way of being.
The time allows us to work with what happens between sessions.
Your organisation becomes part of the practice. Your relationships become part of the practice. The difficult negotiation becomes part of the practice. Your body becomes part of the practice.
Eventually, the work is no longer something that happens during our weekly call.
It becomes how you meet your life.
Is this the right work for you?
I don't believe this work is right for everyone.
It requires curiosity, a willingness to look at yourself without turning that observation into judgement, and a readiness to experiment with ways of leading that may initially feel unfamiliar.
You do not need to subscribe to a particular spiritual worldview. You do need to be willing to consider that not everything important can be understood through the intellect alone.
If you are at a threshold in your leadership, your organisation or your life, we can begin with a conversation.
The chemistry call is an opportunity for both of us to sense whether there is something meaningful for us to work on together.
If there is, we can begin.
Your nine-month practice in embodied leadership and stewardship
Stabilisation — Months 1–2
Creating the ground
Meaningful change begins with enough stability to see clearly.
During these first two months, we explore what is happening across your body, relationships, leadership and work, and begin recognising the patterns creating the most friction.
We pay attention to how you respond under pressure, where you may be carrying too much, what you find difficult to release or receive, and where Yin and Yang may have moved out of balance. Here, Yin and Yang are not gendered qualities, but complementary human capacities: receiving and initiating, sensing and acting, nourishing and directing.
Rather than immediately trying to change what we find, we first develop the capacity to recognise it.
Focus: Greater grounding, clarity and the ability to notice your patterns before automatically being driven by them.
Flow — Months 3–4
Finding your natural rhythm
Once we can see our patterns more clearly, we can begin noticing where effort is necessary—and where effort has become habitual.
We explore how energy moves through your life and work: what wants momentum, what needs more time, where you are forcing an outcome, and where something may need to be released altogether.
This is not about making everything effortless. Some of the most important things we do require discipline, courage and sustained effort. The practice is becoming more discerning about where your energy is actually needed.
We bring this awareness into real decisions, projects, relationships and the way you organise your time.
Focus: Greater sensitivity to rhythm and timing, and a more precise relationship with effort, action and rest.
Abundance Cultivation Phase
Month 5-6: A Heart centered prosperity
Abundance is not simply about having more.
In this phase, we explore your relationship with resources: money, time, support, opportunities, relationships, attention and your own capacity to receive.
We look at where you may be over-giving, where receiving feels uncomfortable, where resources become concentrated, and where greater circulation could create more life.
This also means exploring the relationship between Yin and Yang in prosperity: our capacity to receive alongside our capacity to act, negotiate, ask, create value and gather the resources our work requires.
The question becomes not simply How do I create more? but What do I want resources to make possible, and how can they nourish the wider ecosystem of which I am part?
Focus: A healthier relationship with receiving, resourcing and prosperity in service of what you are here to build.
Service — Months 7–8
Bringing purpose into form
Purpose becomes meaningful through the way we live, lead and contribute.
Here, we explore how what matters to you translates into decisions, relationships, collaboration, strategy and the structures you create around your work.
We pay particular attention to stewardship: how your leadership affects the capacities of the people around you, how responsibility circulates, what your organisation is nourishing, and whether the way you are building reflects the future you hope to contribute to.
Strategy and structure are not separate from purpose. They are some of the ways purpose takes form.
Focus: Greater coherence between what you value, how you lead and what your work creates in the world.
Integration — Month 9
Living the practice
The final phase is not about reaching a perfected version of yourself.
It is about recognising what has changed, what still requires attention, and what will allow those changes to continue developing beyond our work together.
We look back at the patterns that brought you into the journey and notice how your relationship with them has evolved. We identify the practices, relationships and structures that support you, and where you may still need to create different conditions around yourself.
Mastery here does not mean permanent control.
It means developing the capacity to recognise when you have moved out of relationship with yourself, others or what you are building—and knowing more clearly how to return.
Focus: Integrating what you have learned into the way you live, relate and lead beyond the programme.

Modular Structure
You do not need to commit to the full nine-month journey from the beginning.
We can start with Stabilising Ground, an initial two-month period in which we meet weekly and begin looking at what is happening across your inner state, leadership, relationships and work.
This gives us enough time to move beyond the immediate issue and begin recognising the patterns underneath it.
At the end of these two months, you can decide whether the work feels complete for now or whether you would like to continue into the next phase of LifeFlowTao Mastery.
If you continue, I recommend completing the full journey within approximately one year. There can be pauses between phases when life requires them. The structure is there to support the work, not to force your life into a programme.
Why 9 months?
Understanding a pattern and changing a pattern are not the same thing.
We can recognise something intellectually in a single conversation and still find ourselves repeating it when pressure returns.
Embodiment takes time.
We notice the pattern. We experiment with another response. We return to familiar habits. We recognise them sooner. Gradually, another way of responding becomes available.
Nine months gives us the time to work not only with what emerges during our sessions, but with what happens between them—in your decisions, relationships, organisation, body and everyday life.
The rhythm also reflects something nature continually teaches us: meaningful change cannot always be accelerated. Some things need time to take root, mature and become capable of sustaining themselves.
Eventually, the work is no longer something you practise during our weekly sessions.
It becomes part of how you meet your life and how you lead.
That's stronger than the birth metaphor because it explains why your work actually needs time.
Beginning the work
We begin with a chemistry call.
This is a conversation for us both to explore what is happening in your life and leadership, what you are seeking, and whether my way of working feels appropriate for where you are now.
If we both sense there is something meaningful for us to explore together, I will share the investment and practical details with you.
From there, we may begin with a single 60-minute session before making a longer commitment.
You can then choose to begin with Stabilising Ground, our initial two months together, or enter directly into the complete nine-month LifeFlowTao Mastery journey.
There is no need to decide before we speak.
That feels much more like you choosing each other rather than a sales funnel.
What happens in our sessions
There is no fixed formula for a session.
We begin with what is actually alive.
You may arrive with a difficult decision, a relationship that has become strained, a project that is not moving, an opportunity you are uncertain about, a physical sensation, a recurring pattern, or simply the feeling that something is asking to change.
From there, we explore what may be happening beneath the immediate situation.
Our work can move between conversation, reflection, embodiment practices, meditation and principles drawn from Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Five Elements. At other moments, we may look very practically at your organisation, your calendar, a relationship, a decision or the way responsibility is distributed around you.
I don't see these as separate territories.
The way you lead, the way you relate, the way you use your energy and the systems you create around yourself continually influence one another.
The purpose of our sessions is therefore not to give you another framework to follow.
It is to help you become increasingly able to recognise the patterns for yourself—and respond with greater clarity, range and choice.
